Dr. Seuss Week

There's a wocket in my pocket!
The Lorax at home in the trees just down the hall from our classroom. Thank you to the wonderful mommy who did this for the kindergarten hallway! We appreciate you!

Dr. Seuss Week ended abruptly Friday with early dismissal at 12:00. The Cat in the Hat appeared at the gym. Thing One and Thing Two were seen scurrying around the campus as well. The Lorax made his home in the trees just down the hallway this week. We enjoyed drawing the Cat in the Hat this week. We graphed Green Eggs and Ham. Everyone loves ham but not everyone likes green eggs. We enjoyed having Mrs. Creel, a retired first grade teacher, read The Cat in the Hat to our class. We even had the Lorax visit the lunchroom. We put our Graph out in the hallway along with our Green Eggs and Ham pictures. We sang "Dr. Seuss, We Love You!" with the loudspeaker. We hope to reschedule our Wocket in the Pocket activity for a later date this month that we had planned. I included a picture of what the wocket activity would look like. I will post some more pictures when I get them loaded. We love Dr. Seuss! Happy Birthday!
